Body length 5mm
 
We sometime found this small scarab beetle trying to dig into the soil on ground. The beetle is brown in colour with dark brown thorax and head. It has a fat round body.

Boris Büche send us email advised that this beetle probably in subfamily Rutelinae.

Although this small beetle look fat, it does slowly fly away when disturbed.
