We sometimes found the Paperbark Sawfly Larvae aggregate on stem of Paperbark Melaleuca sp. during the day. When disturbed, all bended their bodies, i.e. pointing their tails outwards at the same time, will scare away most of the predators. They disperse and feed at night.
