Body length 12mm
 
Genus Agrilus  is a large group of flat-headed Jewel Beetle. Agrilus austra can be distinguished by its dark green metallic colour with two pale green line

This beetle was found on Feb 2010 in Karawatha Forest on Echidna Trail. It was resting on Acacia leaf. From the reference infromation, the larvae are borer of Acacia stem.
