Brown Large Paper Wasp - Polistes stigma townsvillensis

Body length 20mm
 
This Paper Wasp id brown in colour with yellow strips on thorax and abdomen.

This Paper Wasp is not as common as the other two Paper Wasp species in Brisbane.

Workers forage food, i.e., caterpillars and some other soft body insects to feed the larvae in the nest. Adult wasps feed on nectar from flowers.
