Wattle Blue - Theclinesthes miskini

Wingspan 25mmm, female laying eggs on Wattle flower buds.
 
The butterfly has two eye-spots and a tail on each hind wing.

Above photos were taken on White Hill during later winter. We only saw this butterfly once there.

In later summer March 2008, we found females laying eggs on Wattle Acacia in Mt Coot-tha. There were quite a number of them there.
