- Adults Oedemerids feed on pollen and can be found on flowers and leaves.
They have elongated and parallel-sided slender body and usually with mouth parts
expanded. The antennae are long and in filiform. They are from small to
medium size.

- Larvae are found in rotting wood. They feed on dead wood.

- This beetle look like a Lycid
Beetle but it is in family Oedemeridae. This beetle mimic the Lycid

- Pictures were taken in Yimbun Park along Bulimba Creek on Oct 2007. The
beetle was black in colour, elongated and parallel-sided slender body and with
mouth parts expanded. The antennae were long and in filiform. Please
